Social media has become the fastest growing advertising medium especially in the latter half of the past decade. High levels of personalization, and user engagement combined with ever improving tools of real time analytics, has made social media and internet the most preferred communication channel among marketers. And it doesn't stop there. With the emergence of new PDAs, smart phones and tablet PCs, the demand for grabbing an ad space on these gadgets has also intensified. And don't under estimate the power of this medium, for it can create and lead revolutions and mutinies, as witnessed recently.

In the current scenario, as a marketer, can you come up with innovative methods of delivering the brand's message using digital media? Marketrix is an event that tests the marketer's ability to leverage the vast potential of the internet, especially social media, to create an ambitious, innovative, and cost effective marketing strategy for their clients.


Prize Money
  • 1st Prize : INR 35,000
  • 2nd Prize : INR 25,000

The event would comprise of the following stages:

Round 1

  • The first round is an online round where the teams have to answer a set of objective questions.
  • The questionnaire consists of a mix of independent questions related to digital marketing, along with a few case based questions.

Round 2
  • Details of this round will be conveyed later

Round 3
  • Details of this round will be conveyed later

  • The event is open to students from all the B-Schools
  • There should be 3 members belonging to the same institute in each team. (All the members need to registered on the website to be able to register for the event)
  • An individual can be part of only one team
  • There is no limit to the number of contestants that can participate from a particular institute
  • All the teams need to be registered in order to play the online round.
  • The Organizing team reserves the right to modify the terms and dates of the event
  • The decision of the judges would be final and binding

  • December 08 2011: Online Registration opens for Marketrix
  • December 16, 2011: Round I starts at 9:00 PM
  • December 17, 2011: Round I closes at 4:00 AM
